Joseph W Handley, Jr. is a seasoned leader in the world of mission, presently holding the role of President/CEO of A3, formerly known as Asian Access. A3 is a catalyst for change, equipping leaders, disciple-makers and fostering church multiplication and mission movements around the world.

Joe's journey began at Azusa Pacific University where he met his wife, Silk, and started his pathway in the field of ministry. He laid the foundation for the University's World Mission office. His leadership abilities were further honed as he guided the mission efforts at Rolling Hills Covenant Church.

As an active voice in ministry, Joe was a contributor to the Billy Graham Center’s Gospel-Life Blog and serves as a co-catalyst for leadership development in the Lausanne Movement. His wisdom and insight are also sought in advisory and board positions with several ministries, including BiblicalTraining.org.

In 2022, Joe introduced a new leadership paradigm through his published dissertation on Polycentric Mission Leadership. This innovative approach has been put into action at A3, strengthening their mission to empower leaders and multiply disciples and churches around the world. Several other missions are now adapting their approach using this new model.

Joe and Silk, the proud parents of three adult children, guide their lives by John 1:4, demonstrating their belief in the transformative power of Jesus' teachings. For those keen to explore Joe's philosophy on leadership, the site Polycentric Leadership offers several case studies and insightful ideas.
