ZORITES (zō'rīts, Heb. tsor‘î). In 1Chr.2.54 “Zorathites” should probably be read; otherwise the reference is to a people of some unknown place.

ZORITES. Inhabitants of Zorah.

(tsor`i; Codex Vaticanus ho Hesarsei; Codex Alexandrinus ho Hesaraei) : In 1Ch 2:54 for "Zorites" we should probably read ZORATHITES (which see). These formed a half of the inhabitants of MANAHATH (which see).
