Zaraias
ZARAIAS zə rā’ yəs (Ζαραίας). 1. A leading Israelite who returned from the Captivity with Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:8 ASV; KJV Zacharias, RSV Seraiah); called Seraiah in Ezra 2:2 and Azariah in Nehemiah 7:7.
2. An ancestor of Ezra (1 Esd 8:2 KJV, ASV; RSV omits); called Zerahiah in Ezra 7:4, and Arna in 2 Esdras 1:2.
3. The father of Eliaonias, a leader under Ezra (1 Esd 8:31 KJV, ASV; RSV Zerahiah); called Zerahiah in Ezra 8:4.
4. A son of Saphatias in the time of Ezra (1 Esd 8:34 KJV, ASV; RSV Zeraiah) called Zebadiah in Ezra 8:8.

za-ra’-yas, za-ri’-as (Zaraias):
(1) One of the leaders in the Return along with Zerubbabel (1 Esdras 5:8) = "Seraiah" of Ezr 2:2 and "Azariah" of Ne 7:7 = the King James Version ZACHARIAS (which see).
(2) An ancestor of Ezra in 1 Esdras 8:2 (omitted in Codex Vaticanus and Swete) = "Zerahiah" of Ezr 7:4 and apparently= "Arna" of 2 Esdras 1:2.
(3) The father of Eliaonias, the leader of the sons of Phaath Moab under Ezra (1 Esdras 8:31)= "Zerahiah" of Ezr 8:4.
(4) One of "the sons of Saphatias" who went up with Ezra (1 Esdras 8:34) = "Zebadiah" of Ezr 8:8.
