Vinegar Bible

The popular name of a fine folio edition of the Bible, printed at Oxford in 1716-17 by John Baskett (d.1742), the king's printer. The headline of Luke 20 reads “The Parable of the Vinegar” instead of “The Parable of the Vineyard.”
