Upper Gate

UPPER GATE (שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְיֹֽון, the upper gate of the house of Yahweh). A gate of the Temple built by Jotham (2 Kings 15:35; KJV HIGHER GATE; 2 Chron 27:3; KJV HIGH GATE). It has not been identified, but it may be the same as the “upper Benjamin Gate” of Jeremiah 20:2 (KJV HIGH GATE OF BENJAMIN).
