TRYPHENA (trī-fē'na, Gr. Tryphaina, dainty). A Christian woman who lived in Rome and was known to Paul. He asked the Roman believers to greet her and Tryphosa, her close relative (Rom.16.12). This name has been found on inscriptions of name plates in the burial places of the servants of the royal household of Rome from the time of Paul.
