Tree
TREE (Heb. ‘ēts, tree wood, Gr. dendron, tree, xylon, timber, wood, tree). Palestine in ancient times must have been extensively wooded as there are over three hundred references to trees and wood in the Bible. Also over twenty-five different kinds of trees have been identified as having grown in the Holy Land. Most of the wooded areas in Palestine have been cut down.
