TOI toi, tō’ ī (תֹּ֖עִי). King of Hamath on the Orontes. He sent David a message to congratulate him for his defeat of their common foe Hadadezer of Zobah (2 Sam 8:9, 10; 1 Chron 18:9, 10). In the parallel passage, the name appears as Tou.
