Tirshatha
TIRSHATHA (tûr-shā'tha, Heb. tirshāthā’, revered). In the KJV the title of the governor of Judah under Persia. Zerubbabel (Ezra.2.63; Neh.7.65, Neh.7.70) and Nehemiah (Neh.8.9; Neh.10.1) bore the title. NIV has “governor.”
