MAHAVITE, THE, mā’ ə vīt (הַֽמַּחֲוִ֔ים). The description given to Eliel, one of David’s mighty men known as the “Thirty” (1 Chron 11:46), perhaps to distinguish him from the Eliel in the following v. The MT appears to be obscure here.
