The Little Labyrinth

A lost third-century treatise directed against the Adoptianists—e.g., Theodotus, Artemon-assigned with some probability to Hippolytus of Rome. It was referred to by Theodoret, who ascribed it to Origen. Eusebius quoted two passages from it. There are grounds for thinking that a fragment may be preserved under the name Contra Noetum, in which Hippolytus expounds his rich and somewhat mystical doctrine of the Incarnation. It should be distinguished from The Labyrinth mentioned by Photius.
