The Ahohite

AHOHITE, THE ə hō’ hīt (הָאֲחוֹחִ֑י). Probably a patronymic used by the descendants of Ahoah (q.v.). The term is always used in connection with military heroes in David’s time: Dodai (2 Sam 23:9 ASV) or Dodo (1 Chron 11:12), Zalmon (2 Sam 23:28), Ilai (1 Chron 11:29).
