SUSANCHITES sōō săn’ kīts (שֽׁוּשַׁנְכָיֵ֔א). The KJV form of SHUSHANCHITES (RSV MEN OF SUSA) inhabitants of the Pers. Susa, who were brought into central Pal. to replace the ten tribes that were taken into the Assyrian captivity (Ezra 4:9).
