Sud
SUD, SUA sud, su’ a (Σούδ, Σουά). KJV Apoc. SUD. One of the families of Temple servants or Nethinim returned from the Exile in the contingent led by Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:29). The same list is recorded in Ezra and Nehemiah where the name appears as Siaha (Ezra 2:44) and Sia (Neh 7:47). The duty of the Nethinim was to relieve the Levites of the more menial tasks associated with the Temple. In the contingent led by Zerubbabel 392 Nethinim returned.
