Shoshannim

SHOSHANNIM (shō-shăn'ĭm, lilies). Found in the titles of Ps.45.1-Ps.45.17, Ps.69.1-Ps.69.36, and Ps.80.1-Ps.80.19 and in Ps.60.1-Ps.60.12 in the singular. Perhaps lily-shaped musical instruments, perhaps the name of spring songs. NIV has “To [the tune of] ‘Lilies”' (or “To the tune of ‘The Lily [or Lilies] of the Covenant”').
