Sheleph
SHELEPH (shē'lĕf, Heb. shāleph). A son of Joktan and head of an Arab tribe named for him (Gen.10.26).
SHELEPH shē’ lĭf (שָׁ֑לֶף). A son of Joktan, and therefore the name of an Arabian tribe (Gen 10:26; 1 Chron 1:20). It was prob. located in S Arabia either at Salaf or Sulaf.

Son of Joktan (Ge 10:26; 1Ch 1:20). Sheleph is the name of a Yemenite tribe or district, named on Sabean inscriptions and also by Arabian geographers, located in Southern Arabia.
