Pyrrhus
PYRRHUS (pĭr'ŭs, Gr. Pyrros, fiery red). The father of Sopater (Acts.20.4).
PYRRHUS pĭr’ əs (Πύρρος, G4795, fiery red). Named in Acts 20:4 as the father of Sopater. The name is omitted in the TR. He is otherwise unknown. He was mentioned either as a well-known Christian or to distinguish Sopater from Sosipater.
