Paragraph Bibles

In 1755 John Wesley published his NT in which he returned to the pre-Geneva Bible practice of paragraphing, as opposed to the arrangement in verses followed in the King James Version (Authorized Version) and other versions. The Religious Tract Society brought out an edition of the KJV (AV) in paragraphs in 1838, and there were two further editions in 1853. The Revised Version (1881) adopted the paragraph arrangement, and this is followed in most modern translations.
