NOAH (Woman). Noah was one of the daughters of Zelophehad of the tribe of Manasseh (Num 26:33). With her sisters Noah raised the question of inheritance since her father had died in the wilderness without leaving any sons as heirs (27:1-11). Noah and her sisters were granted inheritance rights with the restriction that they marry within the tribe of Manasseh so that the land would not be transferred to another tribe (36:1-12; cf. also Josh 17:3-6).
