Nephew
NEPHEW (Heb. nekēdh, Gr. ekgonon). A term found in the KJV four times, meaning grandson (Judg.12.14), descendant (Job.18.19; Isa.14.22), grandchild (1Tim.5.4). NIV uses it three times, all with today’s common meaning of the son of one’s sister or brother (Gen.12.5; Gen.14.12; Ezra.8.19).
