EPHRAIM, MOUNT OF (Heb. har ’eprayim). The mountainous part of the territory of the tribe of Ephraim (Josh.17.15) or “hill country,” an inaccurate phrase, since all the hills are part of the same mountain range that runs through central Palestine.
