Mortal, Mortality

MORTAL, MORTALITY. In the OT (only in Job.4.17) this represents the Hebrew ’ĕnôsh (lit. “man”), translated “mortal man.” In the NT it is the translation of thnētos—subject to death (Rom.8.11; 1Cor.15.53-1Cor.15.54). “Mortality” occurs only in 2Cor.5.4 and is a translation of the same Greek word.
