Michmethath

MICHMETHATH mĭk’ mə thăth (מִכְמְתָת). A place mentioned in Joshua 16:6 and 17:7 in connection with the defining of the boundaries of the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, and located E of Shechem. It may have been either the present Khirbet Makhneh el-Foqa (Westminster Historical Atlas of the Bible) or (more likely?) the neighboring site of Khirbet Juleijil, two m. NE of Shechem (Grollenberg, Atlas of the Bible). KJV Michmethah.
