Meholah, Meholathite

MEHOLAH, MEHOLATHITE (mē-hō'la-thīt, Heb. mehôlāthî). The Gentile designation of Adriel to whom Saul gave his daughter Merab as a wife (1Sam.18.19; 2Sam.21.8). The place Abel Meholah was probably located in the Jordan Valley near Beth Shan, the native place of Elisha (1Kgs.19.16). See also [[Abel Meholah]].
