MAROTH (mā'rŏth, Heb. mārôth). A town probably in the plain west of Jerusalem. Its citizens waited for relief when disaster had come on God’s people (Mic.1.12).

MAROTH, mâr’ ŏth (מָרֹ֑ות). A town mentioned only in Micah 1:12. It may be identical with Maarath.
