c.330-c.398. Sister of Satyrus* and Ambrose* of Milan. Born in Rome, she helped her mother in Ambrose's education after her father's death. She was consecrated a virgin by Pope Liberius (353). Later she lived at Milan with Ambrose, who tried to dissuade her from excessive austerities. He dedicated his De Virginibus to her.
