Lodge

LODGE. A temporary shelter erected in a garden for a watchman guarding the ripening fruit (Isa.1.8, kjv; niv “hut”). It is of a more temporary nature than a watchtower. In relation to travelers, “a lodging” is a temporary place of sojourn for strangers (Acts.28.23; Phlm.1.22 kjv).
