Lidebir

LIDEBIR lĭd’ ə bĭr (לִדְבִֽר). ASVmg. and RSVmg. tr. in Joshua 13:26, where the text has Debir. The Heb., Gr., Syr., and Vul. all have Lidebir. It is possible that one should read Lo-debar, a place in Gilead (q.v.).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

For "of Debir" in EV; the Revised Version margin suggests the name "Lidebir" (Jos 13:26), a city in the territory of Gad. It is probably identical with LO-DEBAR (which see).
