KENAN (kē'năn). A great-grandson of Adam (1Chr.1.2). Translated “Cainan” in KJV of Gen.5.9-Gen.5.14.

KENAN ke’ nən (קֵינָֽן). Son of Enosh and father of Mahalelel (Gen 5:9, 12; KJV CAINAN; 1 Chron 1:2).

(qenan; Kainan) : A son of Enosh, the son of Seth (Ge 5:9,10,12,13,14; 1Ch 1:2). the King James Version form (except in 1Ch 1:2), is "Cainan."
