JOACHAZ jō’ ə kăz (̓Ιωαχαζ). Son of Josiah (1 Esd 1:34 KJV, ASV; RSV JECONIAH). (Apocryphal alternate form of Jehoahaz.) In Matthew 1:11 the reading is Jechoniah.
