JETHETH (jē'thĕth, Heb. yethēth, meaning unknown). A chief of Edom (Gen.36.40; 1Chr.1.51).

JETHETH jē’ thĕth (יְתֵֽת). An Edomite chief or clan (Gen 36:40; 1 Chron 1:51).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915)

a chief (or clan) of Edom (Ge 36:40 parallel 1Ch 1:51), but probably a mistake for "Jether" = "Ithran" (Ge 36:26).
