Jesse Moren Bader
1886-1963. minister and ecumenist. Born in Illinois, he graduated from Drake University, and after various pastorates and YMCA service he was an executive in the evangelism department first of his own denomination (1920-31), then of the Federal Council of Churches (1932-50). He was very active in the ecumenical movement and the ,* attending the founding sessions at Amsterdam in 1948, the Faith and Order conferences at Oxford and Edinburgh in 1937, and the Third Assembly at New Delhi in 1961. He served also as an observer for the Disciples at .* He was author of Evangelism in a Changing America (1957) and numerous articles in Christian periodicals.
