Jaala
JAALA jā’ ə lə (יַעְלָ֥א; LXX Ιεηλα. Neh 7:58; also JAALAH, יַעְלָ֥ה, Ezra 2:56; 1 Esd 5:33, meaning uncertain: prob. mountain goat, or perhaps ibex). The name of a family returning from Babylonian exile, listed as members of the category of “the sons of Solomon’s servants” (Neh 7:60).
