Ibhar

IBHAR (ĭb'har, Heb. yivhār, he chooses). One of David’s sons, born at Jerusalem (2Sam.5.15; 1Chr.14.5).



IBHAR ĭb’ här (יִבְחָ֥ר, God chooses). One of the sons of David, born at Jerusalem (1 Chron 3:6; 2 Sam 5:15). All that is known of him is that his mother was a wife, not a concubine, of David.

(yibhchar, "He (God) chooses"; in Codex Sinaiticus, Codex Vaticanus, Ebear, in Chronicles, Codex Vaticanus, Baar; Codex Alexandrinus, Iebaar): One of David’s sons, born at Jerusalem; son of a wife and not of a concubine (1Ch 3:6; 2Sa 5:15); otherwise unknown. His name in all three lists follows Solomon’s.’ In the Peshitta, "Juchabar."
