HUSHIM, HUSHITES (hū’shĭm, hū’shīts)

The sons of Dan (Gen.46.23), called Shuham in Num.26.42.The sons of Aher, a Benjamite (1Chr.7.12); NIV “Hushites,” KJV “Hushim.”One of the two wives of Shaharaim (1Chr.8.8, 1Chr.8.11).


HUSHIM hŏŏsh’ ĭm (חֻשִֽׁים). 1. Sons of Dan (Gen 46:23); called Shuhamites (Num 26:42).

2. Sons of Aher, of the tribe of Benjamin (1 Chron 7:12).

3. One of the wives of Shaharaim, of the tribe of Benjamin (1 Chron 8:8, 11).
