HORI (hō'rī, cave-dweller)
A son of Seir, a Horite, and founder of the Horites (Gen.36.22, Gen.36.29-Gen.36.30; 1Chr.1.39).A Simeonite whose son Shaphat was one of the twelve spies whom Joshua sent to investigate the land of Canaan (Num.13.5).
HORI (חֹרִ֣י). 1. The first son of Lotan; progenitor of a Horite subclan in Edom (Gen 36:22; 1 Chron 1:39).
2. A Simeonite, father of Shaphat, one of the twelve spies (Num 13:5).
