Hobah
HOBAH (hō'ba). A place north of Damascus to which Abram pursued the captors of his nephew Lot (Gen.14.15).
HOBAH hō’ bə (חוֹבָ֔ה). The place to which Abraham pursued the defeated army of Chedorlaomer (Gen 14:15). It is described as being N of Damascus. It is prob. to be identified with the modern Hoba, about fifty m. N of Damascus, on the road to Palmyra.

A place "on the left hand," i.e. to the North of "Damascus," to which Abraham pursued the defeated army of Chedorlaomer (Ge 14:15). It is probably identical with the modern Choba, about 60 miles Northwest of Damascus.
