Hizkiah, Hizkijah

HIZKIAH, HIZKIJAH (hĭz-kī'a, hĭz-kī'ja). 1. The great-great-grandfather of Zephaniah (Zeph.1.1), mentioned to show his relationship with King Josiah. The spelling should be Hezekiah, as in NIV.

2. One of the covenanters with Nehemiah (Neh.10.17). The spelling here also should be Hezekiah, as in NIV.

3. A son of Neariah, a member of the royal line after the Exile (1Chr.3.23).
