HILEN (hī'lĕn). A city of Judah assigned to the Levites (1Chr.6.58). It is spelled Holon in Josh.15.51; Josh.21.15.


HILEN hī’ lən (חִילֵן, H2664). A town in the hill country of Judah, assigned to the Levites (1 Chron 6:58). The form of the name is Holon in Joshua 15:51; 21:15. See Holon 1.

A city in the hill country of Judah, probably West or Southwest of Hebron, assigned with its suburbs to the Levites (1Ch 6:58 (Hebrew 43)). The form of the name in Jos 15:51; 21:15 is HOLON (which see).
