HESHMON (hĕsh'mŏn). A town on the southern boundary of Judah (Josh.15.27).
HESHMON hĕsh’ mŏn (חֶשְׁמֹ֖ון). A town in the SW of Judah, near Beth-pelet (Josh 15:27). It may have been the original home of the Hasmoneans, a term used in Josephus for the family of the Maccabees (Antiq. XII. vi. 1).
