Hay
HAY (חָצִיר, H2945; χόρτος, G5965; fodder). The word hāsîr is tr. “hay” in Proverbs 27:25 (KJV) “the hay appeareth,” and in Isaiah 15:6, “the hay is withered away.” In Numbers 11:5, however, chatsir is tr. “leeks.” In 1 Corinthians 3:12 the word chortos is tr. “hay,” meaning fodder for cattle.
