HASUPHA (hă-sūfa, Heb. hasupha). A family who returned from exile under Zerubbabel (Ezra.2.43; Neh.7.46).



HASUPHA hə sōō’ fə (חֲשׂוּפָ֖א, חֲשֻׂפָ֖א). KJV HASHUPHA, he shōō’ fe (Neh 7:46). The head of a family of Temple servants who returned from the Captivity (Ezra 2:43; Neh 7:46; 1 Esd 5:29; KJV “Asipha”).

Head of a family of Nethinim among the returning exiles (Ezr 2:43; Ne 7:46). Ne 7:46 the King James Version has "Hashupha," and 1 Esdras 5:29, "Asipha."
