Hasrah

HASRAH (hăs'ra, Heb. hasrâh, meaning uncertain). Grandfather of Shallum, the husband of Huldah the prophetess (2Chr.34.22). In the parallel place (2Kgs.22.14) the name is given as Harhas.



HASRAH hăz’ rə (חַסְרָה). 1. The grandfather of Shallum, the husband of Huldah the prophetess (2 Chron 34:22); called “Harhas” in 2 Kings 22:14.

2. The head of a family of Temple servants who returned with Zerubbabel (1 Esd 5:31; KJV “Azara,” ASV “Asara”); not included in the parallel lists in Ezra and Nehemiah.
