HARPOON (שֻׂכָּה, H8496, barb, spear; cf. Arab. šakkun, pierce). Appears only in Job 41:7 as a pl. (KJV “barbed iron”) parallel to “fishing spears” (RSV). Both weapons will be futile in the battle with Leviathan.
