HANDLE. The noun is found only in Song.5.5, referring to the doorknob. The Hebrew word has over a dozen meanings.



HANDLE. As a noun translates three Heb. words: כַּף, H4090, (palm) refers to the handles of a sliding bolt (Song of Solomon RSV), יָדַ֥יִם (two hands) denotes the two handles of a piece of pottery (Isa 45:9), and עֵץ, H6770, (wood) denotes an axe handle (Deut 19:5).
