Hallohesh

HALLOHESH (hăl-lō'hĕsh, the whisperer). In Neh.3.12 father of Shallum, a ruler, and in 10:24 one of the covenanters with Nehemiah; perhaps the same man.



HALLOHESH hă lō’ hĕsh (הַלּוֹחֵ֔שׁ, the whisperer). The father of Shallum, who, with his daughters, assisted in repairing the walls of Jerusalem (Neh 3:12, KJV HALOHESH). It is prob. the same man who is named among those who sealed Ezra’s covenant (Neh 10:24).

A post-exilic chief whose son Shallum assisted in repairing the walls of Jerusalem (Ne 3:12, the King James Version "Halohesh"). He was also one of the leaders who signed the national covenant (Ne 10:24 (Hebrew 25)).
