Episcopalian

Strictly, a member of any church governed by bishops (episcopi), but popularly applied to churches when contrasted with other nonepiscopal bodies. The existence of the Episcopal Church in Scotland over against the presbyterian government of the [[Church of Scotland]], and that of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the USA, are examples of this usage.
