Ephrathite

EPHRATHITE ĕf’ rə thīt (אֶפְרָתִ֜י). An inhabitant of Ephrathah or Ephrath, q.v. (Ruth 1:2; 1 Sam 17:12). In addition, Ephrathite occurs in KJV (1 Sam 1:1; 1 Kings 11:26) reflecting the same Heb. original, but later VSS here tr. “Ephraimite” as KJV does in Judges 12:5.
