EN-MISHPAT ĕn mish’ pət (עֵ֤ין מִשְׁפָּט, meaning spring of judgment). Where this place name occurs (Gen 14:7), there is a parenthetical explanation put in by the writer of a later period which identifies En-Mishpat with Kadesh. This is an oasis located in the northeastern part of the Sinai peninsula.
