Eltekon

ELTEKON (ĕl'tē-kŏn). One of six cities in the hill country of Judah (Josh.15.59); site unknown; perhaps near Hebron because it is named with Beth Anoth, which is in that vicinity.



ELTEKON ĕl’ tə kŏn (אֶלְתְּקֹ֑ן). A town given in the city-list of the tribe of Judah (Josh 15:59). It has been tentatively identified with Khirbet ed-Deir, c. 4 m. W of Bethlehem.

A city in the hill country of Judah (Jos 15:59) near BETH-ANOTH (which see) to be looked for, therefore, a little North of Hebron. Site unknown.
